Narrated Ibn `Abbas:

The Prophet was the most generous amongst the people, and he used to be more so in the month of Ramadan when Gabriel visited him, and Gabriel used to meet him on every night of Ramadan till the end of the month. The Prophet used to recite the Holy Qur'an to Gabriel, and when Gabriel met him, he used to be more generous than a fast wind (which causes rain and welfare).

Le Prophète était le plus généreux d'entre les gens, et il avait l'habitude d'être plus généreux dans le mois de Ramadan quand Gabriel lui rendait visite, et Gabriel avait l'habitude de venir à sa rencontre chaque nuit de Ramadan jusqu'à la fin du mois. Le Prophète récitait le Saint Coran à Gabriel et quand Gabriel était venu lui rendre visite, il avait l'habitude d'être plus généreux qu'un vent rapide (qui provoque la pluie et le bien-être).


Narrated by Abu Huraira :

The Prophet said, "Whoever does not give up forged speech and evil actions, Allah is not in need of his leaving his food and drink (i.e. Allah will not accept his fasting.)"

Le Prophète a dit : "Celui qui ne renonce pas ses faux discours et de ses mauvaises actions, Allah n'a pas besoin de son jeûne (Allah n'acceptera pas son jeûne)".‏‏‏


Narrated Sahl:

The Prophet said, "There is a gate in Paradise called Ar-Raiyan, and those who observe fasts will enter through it on the Day of Resurrection and none except them will enter through it. It will be said, 'Where are those who used to observe fasts?' They will get up, and none except them will enter through it. After their entry the gate will be closed and nobody will enter through it."

Le Prophète a dit, "Il ya une porte au Paradis appelée Ar-Raiyan, et ceux qui ont jeûné entreront à travers elle dans le Jour de la Résurrection et aucun, à l'exception d' eux, entrera par là. Il sera dit:« Où sont ceux qui avaient l'habitude de jeûner? Ils se lèveront, et aucun, à l'exception d' eux, entrera dans cette porte-là . Après leur entrée, la porte sera fermée et personne n'y entrera. "

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever gives food to a fasting person with which to break his fast, will have a reward equal to his, without it detracting in the slightest from the reward of the fasting person.” Hadith - al-Tirmidhi

. Le Prophète a dit: «Celui qui assure à un jeûneur son repas de rupture du jeûne, a le même salaire que le jeûneur, sans toutefois rien diminuer du salaire de ce dernier». (Hadith authentique rapporté par At-Tirmidhi)

Narrated Talha bin 'Ubaidullah :

A bedouin with unkempt hair came to Allah's Apostle and said, "O Allah's Apostle! Inform me what Allah has made compulsory for me as regards the prayers." He replied: "You have to offer perfectly the five compulsory prayers in a day and night (24 hours), unless you want to pray Nawafil." The bedouin further asked, "Inform me what Allah has made compulsory for me as regards fasting." He replied, "You have to fast during the whole month of Ramadan, unless you want to fast more as Nawafil." The bedouin further asked, "Tell me how much Zakat Allah has enjoined on me." Thus,
Allah's Apostle informed him about all the rules (i.e. fundamentals) of Islam. The bedouin then said, "By Him Who has honored you, I will neither perform any Nawafil nor will I decrease what Allah has enjoined on me. Allah's Apostle said, "If he is saying the truth, he will succeed (or he will be granted Paradise).

Night of Qadr / La nuit de Qadr / ليلة القدر

Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet said, " whoever stood for the prayers in the night of Qadr out of sincere Faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven ."

Abû Hourayra rapporte que le Saint Prophète Muhammad (p.s.s.l.) a dit : "Quiconque veille en prière la nuit du destin avec foi et conviction aura tous ses péchés passés pardonnés"

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ حَفِظْنَاهُ وَإِنَّمَا حَفِظَ مِنَ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ "‏ َمَنْ قَامَ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ ‏"‏‏.‏ تَابَعَهُ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ‏.‏

Narrated Ibn `Umar:
Some men amongst the companions of the Prophet were shown in their dreams that the night of Qadr was in the last seven nights of Ramadan. Allah's Apostle said, "It seems that all your dreams agree that (the Night of Qadr) is in the last seven nights, and whoever wants to search for it (i.e. the Night of Qadr) should search in the last seven (nights of Ramadan).

Ibn `Umar rapporte que le Saint Prophète Muhammad (p.s.s.l.) a dit :"J e vois que tous vos rêves s’accordent qu'elle (la Nuit d'Al-Qadr) est dans les sept dernières nuits". Ainsi quiconque veut la chercher, qu’il la cherche dans les sept dernières nuits.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ أَنَّ رِجَالاً، مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أُرُوا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْمَنَامِ فِي السَّبْعِ الأَوَاخِرِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ أَرَى رُؤْيَاكُمْ قَدْ تَوَاطَأَتْ فِي السَّبْعِ الأَوَاخِرِ، فَمَنْ كَانَ مُتَحَرِّيَهَا فَلْيَتَحَرَّهَا فِي السَّبْعِ الأَواخِرِ

Narrated `Aisha:
Allah's Apostle said, "Search for the Night of Qadr in the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadan."

Aicha rapporte que le Saint Prophète Muhammad (p.s.s.l.) a dit :"Cherchez la Nuit d'Al-Qadr dans les nuits impaires des dix dernières nuits de Ramadan.

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ـ رضى الله عنها ـ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ "‏ تَحَرَّوْا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْوِتْرِ مِنَ الْعَشْرِ الأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ ‏"‏‏.‏

Narrated Ibn `Abbas:
The Prophet said, "Look for the Night of Qadr in the last ten nights of Ramadan ,' on the night when nine or seven or five nights remain out of the last ten nights of Ramadan (i.e. 21, 23, 25, respectively).

Ibn Abbas rapporte que le Saint Prophète Muhammad (p.s.s.l.) a dit : "Cherchez-la (c'est-à-dire la Nuit d'Al-Qadr) lorsqu’il reste neuf nuits, lorsqu’il reste sept nuits, ou lorsqu’il reste cinq nuits (c'est-à-dire respectivement la 21e, 23ème et 25ème sans mentionner la 27ème)

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ "‏ الْتَمِسُوهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي تَاسِعَةٍ تَبْقَى، فِي سَابِعَةٍ تَبْقَى، فِي خَامِسَةٍ تَبْقَى ‏"‏‏.‏

Narrated Aisha:
With the start of the last ten days of Ramadan, the Prophet used to tighten his waist belt (i.e. work hard) and used to pray all the night, and used to keep his family awake for the prayers.

Aisha (DAS): "Quand arrivaient les dix derniers jours de Ramadan, le Messager de Dieu (BSDL)serrait la ceinture de son pagne, en veillait toutes les nuits (à prier). Il réveillait sa famille "

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي يَعْفُورٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ـ رضى الله عنها ـ قَالَتْ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِذَا دَخَلَ الْعَشْرُ شَدَّ مِئْزَرَهُ، وَأَحْيَا لَيْلَهُ، وَأَيْقَظَ أَهْلَهُ‏.‏

I asked Abu Sa`id, and he was a friend of mine, (about the Night of Qadr) and he said, "We practiced I`tikaf (seclusion in the mosque) in the middle third of the month of Ramadan with the Prophet . In the morning of the 20th of Ramadan, the Prophet came and addressed us and said, 'I was informed of (the date of the Night of Qadr) but I was caused to forget it; so search for it in the odd nights of the last ten nights of the month of Ramadan. (In the dream) I saw myself prostrating in mud and water (as a sign). So, whoever was in I`tikaf with me should return to it with me (for another 10-day's period)', and we returned. At that time there was no sign of clouds in the sky but suddenly a cloud came and it rained till rainwater started leaking through the roof of the mosque which was made of date-palm leaf stalks. Then the prayer was established and I saw Allah's Apostle prostrating in mud and water and I saw the traces of mud on his forehead."

J'ai demandé à Abou Sa`id qui était un de mes amis, (au sujet de la Nuit de Qadr) et il a dit : "Nous avons fait I`tikaf (retraite dans la mosquée) dans le tiers médian du mois de Ramadan avec le Prophète. Dans la matinée du 20 de Ramadan, le Prophète est venu et s'est adressé à nous en disant : « j'ai été informé de (la date de la Nuit de Qadr), mais je l'ai oublier, donc cherchez-la dans les nuits impaires des dix dernières nuits du mois de Ramadan. (Dans le rêve), je me suis vu me prosternant dans la boue et l'eau (comme un signe). Donc, celui qui était dans I`tikaf avec moi doit y retourner avec moi (pour un autre période de 10 jours) », et nous sommes rentrés. Dans cette période, il n'y avait aucun signe de nuages ​​dans le ciel, mais tout à coup est apparu un nuage et il a plu jusqu'à ce que l'eau de pluie s'est mis à couler à travers le toit de la mosquée faite de tiges de feuilles de palmier-dattier. Puis la prière fut établi et j'ai vu l'apôtre d'Allah se prosterner dans la boue et l'eau et j'ai vu les traces de boue sur son front".
