Grammatical cases / Cas
This is an overview of Lithuanian cases. There are 7 cases:
1) Nominative - Vardininkas Kas? - What? Who?
2) Genitive - Kilmininkas Ko? - What? Who?
3) Dative - Naudininkas Kam? - For What? To who?
4) Accusative - Galininkas Ką? - What? Who?
5) Instrumental- Įnagininkas Kuo? - Using what?
6) Locative - Vietininkas Kur? Kame? - Where?
7) Vocative - Hey !!!!! :D (well there is no question for this)
Nominative- naming case
Genitive - indicates possession, some verbs require noun or pronoun in genitive case
Dative - indicates a noun or pronoun to whom(to which) smth is given
Accusative - marks direct object
Instrumental - marks a smth that is used to achieve smth
Locative - indicates location
Vocative - is used in addressing someone or something
