Maltese Idioms Containing the Word "Allah": A Linguistic Study (in arabic)

Abstract
This paper examines the Maltese idioms containing the word "Allah" from a linguistic point of view. It is divided into an introduction, three chapters and a conclusion. The introduction discusses the linguistic value of Maltese idioms, the Semitic origin of Maltese and the value of idioms as a linguisticsam-pie. In chapters one and two consonants, vowels, imala, diphthongs, clusters and syllable reduction some syntactic clements of the sample like: dual, negation, and pronouns, are discussed. In chapter three, the idioms together with their equivilants in some selected Arabic dialects, i.e. Egyptian, Tunisian, Palesti-nian, Saudi and Moroccan, are presented.
