From Darwish, there is another interesting reading for مَا جَاءَتْهُمُ الْبَيِّنَاتُ بَغْيًا بَيْنَهُمْ :

بَغْيًا بَيْنَهُمْ comes for the تأويل مصدر of مَا جَاءَتْهُمُ الْبَيِّنَاتُ as a حال and now it means : The proof cames to them while they were insolent between them.

In french : Les preuves leur vinrent alors qu'ils étaient insolents entre eux. والله أعلم

You mean this :

There is 2 problems here :
First the french grammarians mixe these two arabic concepts : مفعول له and مفعول لأجله. And in our sentence, we have both cases separated and dictinct, in names, but also in meaning.
I would named :
- the first one (مفعول له) le Complément de Cause.
- The second one (مفعول لأجله) le Complément de Conséquence.
The second problem is about the مفعول لأجله :
Why حَذَرَ الْمَوْتِ is not simply a حال ? This action occure in the same time as the verb جعل.
In french, we have a participe présent "craignant la mort" (from the verb craindre). Ce second word is its object

No, I means this :

يَجْعَلُونَ أَصَابِعَهُمْ فِي آذَانِهِم مِّنَ الصَّوَاعِقِ حَذَرَ الْمَوْتِ

The main action : to put
The Complement of Cause (reason) : مِّنَ الصَّوَاعِقِ
And the Consequence of the previous : حَذَرَ الْمَوْتِ
